Harold S. Koplewicz, MD

Harold S. Koplewicz, MD, is director and founder of the New York University Child Study Center and director of the division of child and adolescent psychiatry at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Center. He also serves as professor of clinical psychiatry and pediatrics and vice chairman of the department of psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine. Koplewicz is a nationally renowned child and adolescent psychiatrist and the recipient of many awards, including the 1997 Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and the Rieger Service Award from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Koplewicz is co-editor of "Childhood Revealed: Art Expressing Pain, Discovery and Hope" and author of "It's Nobody's Fault: New Hope for Difficult Children and Their Parents." He has appeared on numerous TV programs, including "Oprah," "20/20," and "Today."
