Michele Nobs, RN, BSN, OCN

Michele Nobs, RN, BSN, OCN, has worked in nursing at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo. for 25 years. She currently helps people with cancer through St. John's Mercy's Cancer Center/Resource Center for Health Education. The center provides a wide range of services to meet the emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the cancer patient. Health education, preventive services such as cancer screenings, prevention trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and community presentations are available through the center, as well as support groups, massage therapy, community resource information and physician referrals. Nobs serves on the faculty of the St. Louis University Medical School. She is a member of the American Cancer Society's Breast Cancer Committee and the Human Subjects Committee of both St. John's Mercy Medical Center and the Community Clinical Oncology Program, St. Louis-Cape Girardeau. Nobs is co-director of Camp Bluebird, a three-day, two-night camp that offers a unique experience for adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. The camp is a collaborative effort between the St. John's Mercy Cancer Center and the Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers, an employee volunteer group.
