Natalie Slivinski is a freelance writer and editor for WebMD living in Seattle, WA.
Slivinski grew up devouring ZooBooks for the pages on animal anatomy and was fascinated by her mom’s illustrated nursing textbooks. A former research scientist at the University of Washington, she graduated with distinction from the University of Leeds with a Master’s degree in infection and immunity. She left the lab in 2018 and has written about many different aspects of human disease, notably cancer, drug development, and mental and emotional health.
