Peggy Peck

Peggy Peck, a freelance journalist based in Cleveland began her career as a reporter for The Record, a daily newspaper in New Jersey, where she covered politics, education, municipal and state government in New York and New Jersey.

She joined Physicians Management Magazine as special projects editor in 1980. In the late 1980s, she became special projects editor for all publications at Edgell Communications (now Advanstar Communications) and wrote for publications as varied as Modern Medicine, Ophthalmology Times, Instructor, American Salon, and Candy Industry.

In December 1989 she became a national correspondent for Medical Tribune, where she helped launch the Medical Tribune News Service, a feature service of the New York Times. In June 1992, she was appointed Midwest Bureau Chief for International Medical News Group.

Peggy has written for Mirabella, Good Housekeeping, UPI, Reuters Health, Monster.com, American Medical News, and others. She currently is a regular contributor to WebMD Medical News and a number of other publications, including Physicians Weekly. In 1998 she was the only journalist asked to contribute to a special commemorative issue of The Internist, which marked the merger of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Internal Medicine.

Peck has received awards from the American Association of Business Press Editors, the Associated Press, and the Cleveland Press Club.
