Vanessa Gleason, PharmD, BCCCP, obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Rutgers University. She then went on to complete postgraduate residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH) in Philadelphia. After completing her postgraduate training, she stayed on to work as an advanced practice pharmacist in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) at TJUH while pursuing board certification in critical care pharmacy. The TJUH SICU sees a variety of trauma, abdominal catastrophe, liver transplant, and burns, making Gleason proficient in these areas. She is also a reviewer for the Journal of Trauma Nurses and works on the PA-4 Disaster Medical Assistance Team providing disaster medical relief.
