Dr. Shetty currently leads the Medical and Editorial team for the Mumbai site. In his current role Dr. Shetty manages multiple Editorial and Medical Education functions such as medical writers, medical reviewers, taxonomists, and operational functions that collaborate with the US and International Medical and Editorial teams across WebMD and Medscape professional Network groups to create medical content for both healthcare providers and the public at large.
Dr. Shetty has also previously worked in the Pharmaceutical industry as a part of the Global Medical Affairs at Novartis Oncology. Dr. Shetty managed a team of writers publishing key clinical trial results for novel therapies in prestigious medical journals as well as presenting new clinical data along with the KOLs at key Oncology conferences such as ASCO, ESMO, ASCO-GI. He also has substantial experience in creating medical education and MSL materials with special focus on regulatory requirements of pharma space.
Dr. Shetty earned his PhD in the area of genomic instability; a key driver in many cancers, from the University of Zurich in Switzerland. In his 9+ years in biological research he had worked in premier research organizations in multiple countries including University of Groningen (Netherlands), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai (India).
