Stephen Sacks, MD, is the founder, president, and CEO of Vancouver-based Viridae Clinic. Sacks has been a consultant to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Antiviral Advisory Committee and continues to act as chair of special emphasis panels for the National Institutes of Health.
Sacks is a professor of medicine at the University of British Columbia and maintains a full academic commitment to research publications development at Viridae. Sacks and the team at Viridae are pioneers in the development of antiviral drugs, many of which are currently prescribed for herpes simplex virus and hepatitis B.
